In April of 2010, Detective Mark Sauerwein was awarded the New Sponsor Award by the American Red Cross for his outstanding support for the community blood drive. This blood drive directly assisted Tustin Police Department Sergeant Duane Havourd who was severely injured in a motorcycle accident in 2009.
