What is a Marrow Drive?
Step 1:
Everyone goes to the marrow drive to be tested to see if they are a match.
The test is an easy Q-tip swab inside your cheek.
Step 2:
If it turns out that you are a match for someone in need, you will be given the opportunity to donate some of your bone marrow.
Join the fight!
The first step of donating bone marrow is similar, but even easier, to donating blood.
- You can participate in a mobile "blood-drive" setting.
- The test is an easy Q-tip swab inside your cheek.
Donating bone marrow is actually donating an organ
- It is harder to find a match.
- There are no "back-up" supplies
- There are patients in need right now, so your marrow will go to someone that needs it now.
Your bone marrow is needed now and will help save a life right away!
Maybe you are not able to donate bone marrow for personal reasons or for health reasons. You can still help us find a match!
